An attachment is a small shape made out of a special tooth-colored composite material. They can be placed on your teeth to act as handles for your Invisalign aligners. This is to ensure that the right amount of force is applied to the right spots on the teeth to help move them properly. The aligners will fit so smoothly around the attachments that you may not even notice that they’re there much of the time. Once you reach the end of your Invisalign treatment, the attachments will be removed from your teeth. Keep in mind that attachments aren’t always part of the Invisalign process.
