What to Expect During Your First Visit

Taking the first steps toward a straighter smile can be exciting, but what exactly can you expect? Here’s a quick look at what your initial visit will be like.

Oftentimes, your first appointment will take about an hour. Our team will capture a number of images of your teeth and jaws; this includes a number of intraoral and extraoral photographs as well as digital X-rays. Additionally, Dr. Buchwald will carry out a full examination of your mouth and jaw, and he will carefully go over your medical and dental history. His goal will be to gather as much information as possible in order to figure out whether you really need an orthodontic treatment.

In the event that orthodontic work is indeed required, the next step is to put together a customized treatment plan for you. We will explain the steps involved and give you an estimate of the timeline. After deciding on a plan, we will go over your options for payment.
